The outstanding Showtime, and now CBS, show Dexter is the subject of a protest by Parents Television Council. They are upset by, “the network’s arrogant and harmful programming decisions.” Seriously?! Now, I agree this is not a show for kids, but calling for affiliates to preempt it is a truly arrogant move. I have been excited since hearing that Dexter was coming to network TV. Last Sunday I was not disappointed. Dexter is a truly enthralling and well-executed (pun intended) show. I thank CBS for bringing this great series to me, and I chastise PTC for believing they should be able to make viewing decisions for us all.
Don’t we have more important things to get upset about?
