Sentencing Recommendation: Top Gear

My total car knowledge may equal ‘oil goes in the front end, gasoline in the back’, but I rejoice at the news that Top Gear returns to BBC America this month with 10 new episodes, and you should too.The world’s best (okay, only) car/comedy/talk show combines reviews of cars you could never afford with stunts you shouldn’t try at home. Add unlikely celebrities on the race track and three hosts with good chemistry who love what they do (maybe a little too much), and you have one entertaining hour of television. Every week the Blowhard, the Hippie and the Hamster race, build, crash, sink, and otherwise destroy all matter of motor vehicles, mercilessly insulting each other every step of the way. There’s no no speed too fast, no challenge too impossible, and no explosion too gratuitous. It’s loud, snarky and fun; everything a TV show should be.
