You like COPS, right? Sure you do. There’s nothing better than endless shots of shirtless cretins who can’t even keep their balance being hauled out of mobile homes by a police squad in full SWAT gear. Well, you’ll get that and more when Spike premieres DEA tonight @ 11/10C. It follows a Drug Enforcement Agency squad in Detroit in full pursuit of malfeasance (and I’m not much for iniquity or misconduct, but I’m a fiend for malfeasance). Spike, of course, bills itself as the Network for Men, which raises the crucial question: Exactly how homoerotic will this show be? More than Pros Vs. Joes, less than UFC would be my ballpark estimate. I believe that’s just the right amount to be worth watching. Besides, I like Marg Helgenberger as much as the next guy, but how many hours of CSI reruns do you really need? DEA: because watching people get federal charges for forgetting to flush their last roach makes for the best TV of all.
