So the two-hour jumbo episode for The World’s Most Realistic TV Drama just wrapped. My thoughts? I think this season could be a lot of fun. In the first two episodes alone we had a family murdered, a dead character brought back to life, a massive head wound, a tortured prisoner being force-fed honey, the elimination of Michael’s full-body tattoo through painful and incoherent means (a laser beam? at least Wentworth Miller won’t have to wear long-sleeve T-shirts in 100 degree heat anymore), high-tech data copying, post-traumatic stress, a tearful, yet sexy reunion and cannibalism!
The twist here is that the crew has been re-assembled by a Homeland Security agent (Michael Rappaport) to take down The Company, the shadowy corporation that apparently is corrupting the country and might be responsible for the creation of The Bratz.
It’s an off-the-books mission and Michael and Lincoln are looking at a free ride if they pull of their own little Ocean’s 11 heist. They’re joined by Sucre, Mahone, previously-decapitated Sarah, a stereotyped smart-ass Asian kid who’s awesome with computers and Bellick, who brings absolutely nothing to the table. The only obstacle standing in this crack squad’s way: a season full of brain-nuking script-writing.
But I’m in. I’ve invested three seasons into the show. Can’t give up now.
