If you were to switch on The CW on Tuesday nights, you might think that you skipped a channel and landed on a cable station that thrives on old reruns. It wasn’t enough that the netlet was airing back-to-back remakes of 90210 and Melrose Place, but now even the casting looks familiar.
Last week, Heather Locklear returned to Melrose and she soon met up with her 1990’s co-star Thomas Calabro. To quote Billy Crystal, they both look “Maaah-volous!” Seriously, Heather must have a painting aging in the attic because she is as hot as ever.
Over on the new 90210, Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth are playing the roles they originally created along side former Melrose star Rob Estes. And former 90210 star Brian Austin Green has no plans to join the remake, he can be seen on The CW’s Smallville.
It will be a mini Dawson’s Creek reunion when Kerr Smith’s new series Life UneXpected arrives in January, putting him on the same network as former co-star Jensen Ackles. Completely coincidentally, both men recently stared in the remake of My Bloody Valentine. Now if we could just move Joshua Jackson’s Fringe from Fox to The CW, we’d really have a party.
