It’s nearing the end of the trial period for the interns of Styl’d and the worst just keep getting. . .worser?
This week the interns had to do their own pulls with no edits from the senior stylists. Gary, Janna and Tara were working to outfit Disney star Brenda Song for her walk down the Transformers 2 red-carpet.
For some odd reason, they did the fitting outside around the pool at a hotel and you can guess what happened. Janna bent down to help Brenda slip on a shoe and the intern fell right into the drink. As embarrassing as that was, it wasn’t nearly as bad as the sneaky conversation the sound man picked up when Tara thought no one was listening. Brenda fell into love with an Alexander Wang dress but since Gary picked it out, Tara felt the need to tell Brenda that the dress was old news. She said it had already been worn by Demi Lovato and Rihanna. I don’t know if that’s true, but it didn’t work out for Tara. Brenda rejected the dress but ended up going with a gorgeous flowy bit that Gary picked out making him the number one intern of the week.
The girls came in last and Tara had the nerve to call Jen on the move, saying she was favoring the boys because they were boys! Jen said maybe she was favoring the boys because they were better than the girls!
Brett and Cody were tasked with styling Sean Kingston for a PETA ad, not an easy task. First, Sean is a big guy and not many designers stock 4X’s in their stores. Then, since it was a PETA ad, they had to be careful not to pull anything with real leather or fur.
The job was going pretty well, though, until Cody lost Julie’s credit card. Ironic since she gave it to him because she didn’t trust Brett with it!
Coming down to the wire, Brett is the only one of the bunch I’d hire. He has a personality, he has the fashion sense and even with the drama, he gets the job done.

Great episode…I thought it was funny to see Brenda Song in such a different context than you normally do.
Good to see Tara continuing to show off her psycho side LOL…wonder how long it is until she REALLY goes postal. Also, great tunes in this episode, I’m glad they continue to play more songs by TV/TV (“Good Cop Bad Cop” and “Small Time”) and Radio Freq (“I’m Alive”) – both bands really fit the hip and edgy style of the show.
